About Boomer Foster

Larry "Boomer” Foster is the former President of general brokerage for Long & Foster Real Estate, the nation’s No. 1 independent residential real estate brand (as part of HomeServices of America). In that capacity her oversaw the company’s territories in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Washington, D.C., Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina.

A trial lawyer by trade, Foster was licensed in the Circuit Court, Court of Appeals and Supreme Court of South Carolina, the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Boomer's background made him a natural for success in real estate. During his first year at Long & Foster, he rose from rookie to top agent. In 2007, he became the manager of the Kingstowne Centre office in Alexandria, Va., where he further honed his skills in management, recruiting, coaching, and business development. Known for helping agents grow their businesses, Boomer more than doubled the number of associates at his office while there.

In 2010, he became Vice President over Long and Foster's Northern Virginia region, responsible for the management of 16 sales offices. In 2011, he was appointed Senior Vice President, heading Long & Foster’s Northern Virginia and West Virginia regions. He became President of Long & Foster Real Estate in 2014.

Boomer holds a degree in English and his Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina. As a four-year letterman for the South Carolina Gamecocks football team, he brings a competitive edge to everything he does. 

Boomer is a licensed broker in Virginia.
